We are 22 days out from the inaugural Nourished Leader Summit.
How am I doing? That’s a great question.
Anytime you take a leap of faith, step out in courage, and do something you’ve never done before—here’s what I tell myself, and what I tell other leaders:
There are no problems. Just tensions.
Seriously, I always start with that question: Is this a problem to be solved, or a tension to be managed?
That’s one of the most critical questions a leader can ask themselves—especially when the stakes are high, when you’re feeling disoriented, and when you’re stepping outside your comfort zone.
Because here’s the thing: the higher you go in leadership, the less clear your view becomes.
So here’s what I want you to do: write it down. Give yourself the argument, and then say: Yes, and…
Always come back to that question: What’s happening here? Is it a problem to be solved, or a tension to be managed?
And if you haven’t yet accepted your invitation—or if you haven’t received one—to the Nourished Leader Summit on October 9th here in Charlotte, North Carolina, in the lovely District of NoDa, you need to get that yesterday.
Let me know. Reply back to this email, and I’ll make sure you’re in the door.
Bye for now.
—Natalie, and I am a Nourished Leader.
